There was a time when probably half or more of my time was spent listening to music. I don't listen to it nearly as much these days (I've heard a whole lot of it at work over the years). Every once in a while when I want to relax, I'll scan my collection (which mostly includes "Greatest Hits of..." ) and pick out something for "easy listening"...

I'm (for the most part) still "stuck in the '80's" as far as my musical tastes - I still say this was some of the best music ever. When I was younger, I listened to "funk" almost exclusively; as I've gotten older my tastes have matured somewhat, I guess. I still like the older stuff (especially the music of the '50's - the old "doo-wop" stuff), but now I'm more into the '80's stuff that I really didn't care for at the time - stuff like Bad Company, Rolling Stones...

What I've been listening to lately:

  • a cd of songs recorded by an old schoolmate - it's amazing!...
  • Miscellaneous stuff I've recorded...
  • Player - Baby Come Back...

Some of my all-time favorite albums/cds:

  • Tracy Chapman
  • No Parking on the Dance Floor - Midnight Starr
  • Sands of Time - The S.O.S. Band
  • Frampton Comes Alive - Peter Frampton

Some of my all-time favorite artists/groups:

  • Roy Orbison
  • The Cars
  • Gloria Estefan & the Miami Sound Machine
  • Hall & Oates
  • Rod Stewart

  • The Bee Gees
  • Tracy Chapman
