Where I Live

I was born and spent my early years in Atlanta, Georgia; somewhere around the 5th grade my family moved back to their hometown of Pearson, where I lived up until around '95/6; though my home was in Pearson during the time after I graduated college (1988), after then I spent a lot of time in the towns where I worked:  Douglas (1 1/2 yrs), Alma (3 yrs), Douglas (again - around 1 yr), and after that Fitzgerald. I've met a lot of good people in all of these towns - some are still in my "circle of friends" today.

After working in Fitzgerald for probably 1 1/2 - 2 years, I decided to move there/here (that daily 45-minute drive from Pearson to Fitzgerald really got old). This was somewhere around '95/6. I've lived here ever since. It's a pretty nice town; it has an interesting history (it's called Georgia's "Colony City" from it's creation by Northern and Confederate soldiers after the Civil War). It's also locally famous for it's population of "wild chickens" that can be seen all over town - on lawns, sidewalks, city streets, and occasionally flying through the air. The older sections of town still maintain their roads of brick (not very nice to drive on, but they look nice)...
